Layered Paratha is a delicious paratha for everyone.

Layered Paratha is a soft and flaky Indian flatbread popular both in the north and south India. It is basically an Indian flatbread made with whole wheat flour. This is an easy paratha to make. It is an absolutely delicious mouthwatering paratha that you can enjoy with any gravy, pickle or almost anything. Also, you can serve this paratha with tea as an evening snack. Moreover, you can carry this paratha with you while travelling. This is very soft from inside and crispy from outside. Everyone in the family will love this paratha. So, try to make this paratha at home and enjoy. Do share your feedback as well.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat flour - 1 Cup + for dusing
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Ghee/Clarified butter - as required

Instructions

  1. PREPARING THE DOUGH :
  2. Take a bowl and add whole wheat flour, oil, salt. Mix well and add water to a medium soft dough like we do for chapati.
  3. PREPARING THE PARATHA :
  4. Take a small portion of the dough and roll it to make a roti.
  5. Apply ghee/clarified butter on it. Then fold it to make a square shape. Repeat this process 3 more times. This will make paratha soft.
  6. Roll the paratha. Meanwhile, heat a tawa.
  7. Cook the paratha on a low flame.
  8. Once it is cooked little bit from both the sides, apply ghee and cook by pressing it with a spatula. You can cook it more to make it crispy or less. Once done, take it out on a serving plate.
  9. Delicious 'Layered Paratha' is ready to be served with pickle or anything.
