Ingredients

  • Leftover Roti / Bachi Hui Roti - 2
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Peanuts / Mungfali - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirch - 1 to 2 Finely chopped
  • Curry Leaves / Curry Patta - A few
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take leftover roti pieces in a grinding jar. Grind it for a few seconds on pulse mode.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add peanuts and roast it for a few seconds on medium flame.
  3. Then add cumin seeds, green chilli, and curry leaves. Mix well. Now add onion and mix well. Saute it for 1 to minutes on medium flame till the onion changes the color.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and a little salt. Mix well.
  5. Now keep the flame high and add the ground leftover roti. Keep stirring continuously for 1 to 2 minutes on high flame.
  6. Once done, add coriander leaves and mix well. Take it out on a serving plate.
  7. 'Leftover Roti Upma | Chapati Upma' is ready to be served.
