- After adding the spices to the fox nuts, remember to switch off the flame to avoid the spices from burning.
- You can use tomato ketchup instead of using tamarind chutney in this recipe.
- You can add green chilies if you wish to make the bhel spicier.
- Pomegranate gives a sweet and sour flavour to the bhel and is optional in this recipe.
