Malai Soya Paneer is an innovative dish.

Malai Soya Paneer is a protein-rich snack. This is a super healthy and creamy dish. A perfect and different snack for all, specially for vegetarians. Paneer and soya chunks being protein rich, this dish fulfills the evening hunger pangs. Besides, the fresh cream makes it yummy to relish. The onion, and capsicum adds crunch to the dish. Tips and suggestions by the Mom Chef:-

  • Cook the soya chunks in boiling water for 2 minutes. Then, squeeze out the water from it.
  • If you have frozen green peas, you can add them directly.
  • Whisk the homemade malai and use in place of fresh cream.

Ingredients

  • Oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Paneer cubes - 1/2 to 1 cup
  • Soya chunks - 1/2 to 1 cup boiled (optional)
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves/Lahsun - 2 to 3 no finely chopped
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 no diced
  • Capsicum - 1/2 to 1 no diced
  • Green peas/Hare matar - 1 to 2 tablespoon parboiled (optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red chili flakes - to taste
  • Mixed herbs - to taste
  • Fresh cream - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok. Put the paneer cubes and stir fry till the outer layer becomes crunchy and golden to brown in color.
  2. Cook the soya chunks in boiling water and squeeze out the water from it. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in another wok and add the boiled soya chunks. Stir fry them till light brown in color.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, then, add the butter. Put the finely chopped garlic, diced onion and capsicum. Saute well on high flame.
  4. Put the green peas, salt to taste, red chili flakes, mixed herbs and mix well. Keep the flame low and then add the fresh cream. Mix well.
  5. Now, put the stir fried soya chunks and paneer cubes. Add some red chili flakes. If you want you can add some salt at this stage. Mix well together.
  6. The Malai Soya Paneer is ready to be served.
