Manchali Chutney is a spicy, tangy, and sweet chutney of mango.

Manchali Chutney is a chutney of mango, onion, mint. Raw mango, onions, and mint can beat the heat in the summertime. Everyone should use them in a daily diet. I made a quick chutney with all these ingredients that are super in taste and liked by all. There are many variations of making mango chutney from sweet to sour to raw to cooked versions. The flavor is really unlike anything you’ve tasted before. This chutney is sweet and spicy and is delicious either as a spread, a dip, or used as a side dish with rice or paratha. So try to prepare it and enjoy it with family and friends. Let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Raw mango/Kacha aam -1 no medium size
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 no finely chopped
  • Chopped mint/ pudina - 1/2 Cup
  • Lemon juice/ neebu ras - of 1 lemon
  • Oil - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
  • Black peppercorn/ kali mirch powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Salt/ namak - ½ Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Black salt/Kala Namak - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli flakes - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Chat masala - 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the raw mango and finely chop it. Put it in a bowl. Then, put the finely chopped onion and mint leaves.
  2. Put salt to taste, black salt, chat masala, black peppercorn powder, red chili flakes, squeeze juice of one lemon and oil. Mix well together. Garnish with red chili flakes.
  3. Tangy and yummy 'Manchali Chutney' is ready to be served with samosa/ kachori/ poori/ paratha.
