Mango Falooda is mouthwatering and icy cool dessert. 

Falooda does not require any special introduction and it is available in many flavours. One of the flavours is Mango Falooda is a most famous and lovable dessert during summer. This layered cool dessert has mango ice-cream, basil/sabza seeds, boiled vermicelli. This is a perfect and refreshing way to cool during hot days. The taste and looks of this falooda are so amazing that you can’t resist yourself. You can make it very easily at home. You just require some special ingredients like sabza/basil seeds, boiled vermicelli, mango flavoured syrup. It has fresh mango and mango is the most lovable fruit of all. This falooda can be a chilled dessert or a drink/beverage or even a meal. So, try to make this yummy falooda at home and enjoy with your family.

This recipe was prepared under the live cooking contest ‘Zayka Premier League’ by a lovely mom from Rajasthan – Nisha Samar.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use mango flavoured syrup or rose flavoured syrup to make this falooda.
  • Cashew nuts used in this recipe. Just roast the cashew nuts before using. It will give a nice crunch and the taste will enhance.

Ingredients

  • Mango Ice cream - 2 scoops or as required
  • Mango Syrup - 2 to 3 Teaspoon or as per taste
  • Basil Seeds/Sabza/Falooda seeds - 2 Teaspoon
  • Vermicelli/Sevaiyyan - as required
  • Cashew Nuts - few roasted and chopped
  • Kishmish/Raisins - few
  • Jelly - few small pieces
  • Mango Pieces - few
  • Full Fat Milk - 1 to 2 Cup + Sugar - as per taste
  • Melted Chocolate - for garnishing the glass
  • Golden Sugar Balls - as required for garnishing the glass
  • Cherries - few for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Add sugar to the full fat milk and mix. Then blend it using a blender or grinder jar. It should form froth.
  2. To prepare mango syrup - make sugar syrup then let is cool. Add mango essence and yellow food colour. Mix well.
  3. Boil the vermicelli then let it cool. Soak the basil seeds/sabza/falooda seeds in water for some time.
  4. Take a serving glass and coat the edges with melted chocolate then sprinkle golden sugar balls over the chocolate layer. Let is set.
  5. Now, make the layers in the serving glass. Add mango syrup then soaked basil seeds/sabza/falooda seeds, boiled vermicelli, roasted and chopped cashew nuts, raisins, jelly pieces, sweetened milk with froth, mango pieces and mango icecream.
  6. Garnish it with cherry and jelly pieces and mango syrup.
  7. Delicious "Mango Falooda' is ready to be served.
