Masala Pasta is an Indian style spicy dish.

Masala Pasta is a delicious dish. It is a spicy and saucy version of pasta dish. Usually, the red sauce pasta or white sauce pasta dishes are the more trending recipes. Here, is a fusion type of dish with various spices, vegetables and it becomes slight saucy because of the tomato puree. The mixed herbs, red chili flakes and black peppercorn powder add more flavor to it. The grated cheese makes it a more tasty and relishing dish.   • You can parboil the corn kernels in boiling water.
  • Cook the pasta for 7-8 minutes by putting in the boiling water. Add some salt and 1 teaspoon of oil to the water.

Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 no finely chopped
  • Ginger/Adrak - 1/2 inch finely chopped
  • Green chili/Hari Mirch - 1 no finely chopped
  • Red Capsicum - 1/2 to 1 no finely chopped
  • Green Capsicum - 1/2 to 1 no finely chopped
  • Corn kernels - boiled as required
  • Tomato/Tamatar - 1 no finely chopped
  • Tomato puree - of 2 tomatoes
  • Pasta - 250 grams
  • Salt - to taste
  • Turmeric powder/Haldi powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder/Lal Mirch Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander seeds powder/Dhania powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cheese - grated as required
  • Coriander leaves - to garnish
  • Mixed herbs - to taste
  • Red chili flakes - to taste
  • Black peppercorn powder -to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta for 7-8 minutes by putting in the boiling water. Add some salt and 1 teaspoon of oil to the water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, then add butter to it. Put the finely chopped onion, ginger, and green chili. Saute well. Then add red and green capsicum, and boiled corn kernels. Saute on high flame.
  3. Put the finely chopped tomato, tomato puree, and mix well. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add salt to taste.
  4. Then, add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chili powder, and coriander seeds powder. Saute and cook the spices for 1 minute.
  5. Put the grated cheese and then put the cooked pasta. Mix evenly. Then add coriander leaves, sprinkle mixed herbs and red chili flakes. Mix well
  6. While serving the pasta, garnish with grated cheese, coriander leaves and sprinkle black peppercorn powder to taste.
  7. The Masala Pasta is ready to be served.
