Methi Chutney | Fenugreek Leaves Chutney is a mouthwatering chutney for everyone. 

Methi Chutney | Fenugreek Leaves Chutney is a traditional recipe from Andhra Pradesh. This is a healthy and flavourful chutney for everyone, especially for diabetics. It tastes yum with Dosa, hot rice, parathas. This is quick and super easy to make with fewer ingredients. You can make and store this chutney as well. This is super nutritious as this uses fresh methi or fenugreek leaves, sesame seeds, along with some spices. You just need to roast the ingredients and grind. So, try to make it at home and let us know your feedback.

This chutney was prepared by Saibaba Dasari and Archana Dasari – lovely Grandparents who love to cook together.

  • You can store this chutney in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

Ingredients

  • Methi/ Fenugreek leaves - 1 Cup
  • Til/ White Sesame seeds - 1 & 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Sarso/ Mustard seeds - 2 Teaspoon
  • Jeera/ Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Sukhi Laal mirch/ Dry Red chilli - 5 to 6
  • Imli/ Tamarind - a small piece
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Hing/ Asafoetida - a pich
  • Tel/ Oil - 2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and sesame seeds. Let the seeds crackle.
  3. Then. add dry red chillies and sauté on a low flame for a minute.
  4. Add fenugreek leaves and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add asafoetida, tamarind, and salt. Mix well and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Then, let it cool completely.
  6. Grind it to make chutney by adding a little water. Transfer the chutney to a bowl.
  7. Delicious 'Methi Chutney | Fenugreek Leaves Chutney' is ready to be served.
