Methi Muthiya – Air Fryer Recipe is an appetizing snack for all.

Methi Muthiya – Air Fryer Recipe is a delicious savoury snack recipe. These are baked in an airfryer using very less oil to make it more healthy. This requires gram flour/besan, whole wheat flour, fenugreek leaves, some spices. This baked delight is a flavourful snack with little bitterness of fenugreek leaves. Muthiya is a popular snack item of Gujarat. Traditionally, muthiya is fried or steamed but here you will learn to make it in air fryer. This is a healthy as well as a delicious crunchy snack option for tea-time. You can easily make it at home and store this muthiya for a longer time. This is a perfect munching snack for kids and it is healthy too. Also, you can use this muthiya to make curries, Undhiyu – a popular Gujarati dish. So, try to make this yummy and healthy snack at home and let us know how you liked it.

Ingredients

  • Besan/Gram Flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Whole Wheat flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Ginger-Green chilli paste - 1 Teaspoon
  • Methi/Fenugreek leaves - 1/2 Cup chopped
  • Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoon+ 1 Teaspoon
  • Water - as required to make dough

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients except 1 teaspoon oil. Mix all and make a semi hard dough using water.
  2. Rest the dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into equal parts. Make small cylinder shape of the dough.
  4. Preheat air fryer for 5 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius.
  5. Arrange Muthiya in the the tray. Brush it with oil.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Check in between.
  7. Muthiyas will change its colour to golden brown. Take them out. Store in air tight container
  8. Yummy 'Methi Muthiya' are ready to be served.
