Ingredients

  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Tricolor Bell Peppers / Shimla Mirch - 1/4 Cup Finely chopped
  • Spring Onion / Hare Pyaz - 1 Cup finely chopped
  • Spinach / Palak - 1 Cup finely chopped
  • Carrot / Gajar - 1/2 Grated
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 2 to 3 Finely chopped
  • Whole wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - 1 Cup
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1 tbsp
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder / Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  • Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - As required
  • Grated Cheese - As required
  • Red Chilli Flakes - As required
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take onion in a bowl. Add tricolor bell peppers, spring onion, spinach, carrot, coriander leaves, green chilli, whole wheat flour, besan, curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder, chaat masala, and cumin seeds.
  2. Add water gradually to prepare a lump-free and medium consistency batter.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with oil. Pour the batter on the tawa and spread it like a pancake.
  4. Pour some drops of oil on it. Cook it on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Flip it to cook the other side as well on the medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes more. Then add cheese on it. Garnish it with red chilli flakes and coriander leaves.
  6. Cover the tawa with a lid and cook it on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Once done, turn off the flame and take it out on a serving plate.
  8. 'Mix Veg Aata Chilla' is ready to be served.
