Murmura Kabab | Murmura Tikki | Kheel Kabab an innovative and mouthwatering snack.

We always have kheel or murmure or puffed rice at home, so what if we want to use them for making a jhatpat yummy snack like Murmura Kabab | Murmura Tikki | Kheel Kabab. This is a very colour and yummy appetizer. You can serve it as a tea-time snack or a party starter. This is suitable for every occasion. Moreover, it is quick and easy to prepare with easily available ingredients. So, try these instant Jhatpat Leftover Kheel/Murmure Kabab and enjoy with your friends and family.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use any vegetables which are available at home.
  • Any of the binding agents, such as breadcrumbs, corn flour, boiled potato, or even semolina/sooji can be used. However, if you are using sooji, then soak it along with the murmure.

Ingredients

  • Dahi/Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Kheel/Murmure/Puffed Rice - 2 cups
  • Sooji/Semolina - 1 tablespoon or Corn Flour - 2 Tablespoon or Bread crumbs - 2 Tablespoon or Boiled potato - 1
  • Chopped Onion - 2 tablesppon
  • Green Chilli and Ginger - 1 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon finely chopped
  • Tricolour Capsicum - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Spices - Salt, Red Chili Powder/Lal Mirch Powder and Chaat Masala ( to taste)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Chaat Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin/Jeera powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - as required for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Mix curd, 1/2 cup water, puffed rice, and corn flour in a bowl. Keep the mix aside for 20 minutes
  2. Now, add chopped onion, green chili, ginger, tricolour capsicum and coriander leaves. Add all the spices too. Mix them well now.
  3. Make flattened round balls in the of shape tikki.
  4. Heat a little oil in a pan for shallow frying.
  5. When the oil becomes hot, place the tikkis or kababs on the pan. Let them cook for 5 minutes on one side on a medium flame.
  6. Now flip them and cook them on the other side.
  7. Yummy 'Murmura Kabab | Murmura Tikki | Kheel Kabab' is ready to be served. Serve it hot with green chutney.
