Corn Chaat – Spicy & Instant Snacks

Corn Chaat is a spicy and instant Snack recipe for all. 

There are various recipes of sweet corns in our daily life. One of the recipes is ‘Corn Chat’ which is yummy and healthy both. It is very popular as street food all over India. This recipe is super easy and quick. It is a perfect recipe for evening tea time or for munching. Corn contains antioxidants that can help in curing cancer and heart diseases. So, let’s make sweet corns in yummy and tempting chat style by following this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Sweet corns : 1 cup
  • Chopped onions/ pyaz : 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomatoes/ tamatar : 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped capsicum/ simla mirch (tri color bell peppers) : 1/2 cup
  • Moong/ green gram sprouts : 2 tablespoons
  • Corriander leaves/ dhaniya patta chopped : 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice/ neebu ras : 2 tablespoons
  • Salt/ namak : as per taste
  • Black pepper/ kali mirch powder : 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chat masala (Ciba chatkari chat masala) : 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil/ jaitoon ka tel : 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. First boil sweet corns on medium flame. Make sure it is well cooked. This would take 8-10 minutes. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and saute them. Add chopped tomatoes and capsicum and saute and give a good mix.
  3. Add moong/ green gram sprouts. Saute for a while. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Add boiled sweet corns to it, add salt, black pepper powder, chat masala and mix it well. Cook this mix on low flame.
  5. Now add the chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice and turn off the flame.
  6. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
  7. Mouth watering "Spicy Sweet Corn Chaat" is ready to be served. Enjoy!
