Murmure Chaat | Puffed Rice Chaat is a spicy and tasty chaat recipe, which is best enjoyed with hot tea or coffee. It is a low-fat, nutritious, and delicious food. This chaat is a spicy food that is typically sold via street carts. Ingredients

  • Ghee/ clarified butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Murmure/ puffed rice - 1 bowl
  • Onion - 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Tomato - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
  • Peanuts - 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • Salt - as required
  • Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - as required
  • Mixed herbs - as required
  • Red chili flakes - as required
  • Bhujiya sev/ Indian snack - as required

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Allow it to melt and add turmeric powder to it.
  2. Now, add puffed rice and saute it well on low to medium flame for 2 to 3 seconds. Saute it until it becomes crunchy and turn off the flame.
  3. Transfer it to a bowl and add onion, tomato, cucumber, green chili, lemon juice, peanuts, salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, mixed herbs, and red chili flakes. Mix it well.
  4. Garnish it with the bhujiya sev.
  5. Delicious Murmure Chaat | Puffed Rice Chaat is ready to be served.
