Gond (Edible gum) ladoo is a traditional rajasthani sweet made during winters as it generates heat in the body…Today I added oats to this recipe and prepared a ladoo..It came out very well. Try it today.

Ingredients

  • Gond - 1 cup 
  • Finely powdered Oats - 1 1/2 cup
  • Sugar Powder - 2 cup
  • Ghee - 250 grams
  • Chopped almonds - as per taste
  • Elaichi (cardamom) Powder - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Please check if your gond pieces are too large. If so you may break them into small pieces.
  2. Pour Ghee in a pan and heat it. Put little amounts of Gond at a time to the heated ghee.
  3. Once gond is fried and puffed take it out in a plate, repeat the process with the remaining amount of gond.
  4. Dry Roast oats powder till it turns lightly golden brown. Once gond cools down, press it with a rolling pin on the plate itself making gond finer in texture.
  5. Add sugar and 3/4 cup water to the pan and prepare the Chashni.
  6. Add fried gond, oats flour, almonds and Elaichi powder to the chashni and mix all the ingredients properly with your hand.
  7. Take little amount of mixture in your hand at a time and make a round ladoo from it
  8. Enjoy tasty Oats Gond ladoo
