Onion Sabji | Pyaaz Ki Sabji is a dinner/ lunch recipe that is not just quick but flavourful too.

Onion Sabzi | Pyaaz ki Sabzi is a delicious quick dish. Made generally for lunch or dinner, this recipe has the right amounts of spices. Yet is extremely easy to make. Lightly spiced onions tossed in a handful of spices make this recipe unique yet flavourful. Moreover, with just onions and a few condiments, this dish is perfect for a day when you want to keep it simple, yet tasty.

This dish can be really hassle-free and can be prepared in a matter of 5 minutes.  With just basic ingredients, You can try this sabzi even if you are an amateur cook, bachelor, or an experienced chef, and you won’t be disappointed. A 5-minute effort that goes in the recipe and you will end up with a rich and yummy sabzi that will get polished off in no time.

Ingredients

  • Onions - 3 medium sized, julienne ( cut into short, thin strips )
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Green Chillies - 2 long slit
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Red Chilli powder - as per taste
  • Coriander / Dhaniya powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Dry mango powder / Amchur powder - 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, and heat Oil
  2. Once the oil is hot enough, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Next, add green chillies and give it a good stir.
  4. Now add the onions and mix everything properly by sauteing on medium flame.
  5. Add pinch of turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder, stir it and cover and cook for 1 - 2 minutes .
  6. Once done, add dry mango powder.
  7. Delicious Onion Sabzi | Pyaaz Ki Sabzi is ready to be relished with parathas./ rotis.
