Paneer Jalfrezi is an easy and innovative paneer sabzi.

Paneer Jalfrezi is a simple, flavourful, and quick sabzi. You can pair and enjoy this sabzi with plain rice, jeera rice, rotis, parathas, or naans. This sabzi uses simple ingredients like paneer, some veggies, and spices to give it different flavours. Both kids, as well as, adults will love this sabzi. Since this sabzi does not take much of your time and effort, this is a very simple and quick recipe to prepare. Ingredients

  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Jeera/ Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Adrak - Lehsun/ Ginger- Garlic - 1 tablespoon
  • Hari mirch/ Green chilli - as per taste finely chopped
  • Pyaaz/ Onion - 1 big julienne
  • Tamatar/ Tomato - 2 big julienne
  • Namak/ Salt - as per taste
  • Haldi powder/ Turmeric powder - pinch
  • Dhaniya powder/ Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Laal mirch powder/ Red chilli powder - as per taste
  • Jeera powder/ Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Shimlamirch/ Green Bell pepper - 1/2 julienne
  • Paneer/ Cottage cheese - 1 cup julienne
  • Kasuri methi/ Dry Fenugreek leaves - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garam masala/ All spice mix - 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds, and ginger-garlic and sauté them on medium flame for a few seconds.
  2. Add green chilli to the pan and sauté it well.
  3. Add onion to the pan and sauté it well for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Add tomato, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and cumin powder to the pan. Cover the pan and let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Add green bell pepper and paneer to the pan and mix them well with the other ingredients.
  6. Add kasuri methi, garam masala and salt to the pan and mix them well. Cover the pan and let it cook for few seconds.
  7. Paneer Jalfrezi is ready to be served.
