Peanut Chaat is a monsoon-special snack.

Peanut Chaat is a yummy crunchy protein rich chaat. A wonderful tea-time snack to enjoy in the monsoon season. It is a very healthy and easy to prepare chaat. Besides, the addition of vegetables makes it more nutritious. It requires peanut, onion, tomato, green capsicum, raw mango and green chili. Thus, it becomes a tangy and spicy chaat.   • You can skip the green chili if making the chaat for kids.
  • If you want, you can dry roast the peanuts.
  • Ensure that the lemon seeds do not get added in the chaat.

Ingredients

  • Peanuts/Mungfali - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 no finely chopped
  • Green capsicum - 1/2 no finely chopped
  • Tomato/Tamatar - 1 no finely chopped
  • Raw mango/Kaccha aam - 1 to 1&1/2 tablespoon (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves - as required
  • Green chili/Hari mirch - 1 no finely chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black salt/Kala namak - to taste
  • Red chili powder/Lal mirch powder - to taste
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder/Jeera powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - of 1 lemon
  • Namkeen sev/bhujia - to garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, put the peanuts. Roast the peanuts on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Take the roasted peanuts in a bowl. Put the finely chopped onion, green capsicum, tomato, raw mango, coriander leaves, and green chili.
  3. Then add the salt to taste, black salt and red chili powder as per taste, roasted cumin seeds powder. Place the clean washed fingers over the bowl and squeeze the lemon juice over it.
  4. Mix well all the ingredients. Again garnish with coriander leaves and namkeen sev.
  5. The Peanut Chaat is ready to be served.
