Schezwan Fried Rice is the most lovable Indo-Chinese recipe across India.

Schezwan Fried Rice is a super easy and quick rice preparation. This tastes amazing and spicy with the smoky flavour of the veggies. This has a distinct flavour of garlic in it. It required only a few ingredients and 5 minutes to get ready. You can have this rice preparation as a meal or a snack. It is so colourful and tempting that you can not resist yourself from trying it once. This has lots of veggies that make it healthier and tasty too. This can be a good idea to feed the veggies to the kids. So, try to make this fried rice variety at home and enjoy with your family.

This rice was prepared by Nisha Samar – a lovely Grandmom who loves to cook and sing.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • For a smoky flavour, the veggies should be cooked on a high flame
  • If you do not have schezwan fried rice masala then you can add schezwan sauce to it. After sauteing the veggies add the sauce then rice.
  • You can adjust the masala according to your taste.
  • Always add rice to the pan after switching off the gas. This will make the rice fluffier and the rice grain will not break.
  • It is recommended to use Basmati rice.

Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice - 1 Cup (Cooked with some salt)
  • Carrot - 2 to 3 Tablespoon diced
  • French Beans -2 to 3 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Cabbage - 2 to 3 Tablespoon shredded
  • Garlic - 1 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 1 Teaspoon finely chopped
  • Schezwan Fried Rice Masala - 1 to 1 & 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander Leaves - as required for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add finely chopped garlic and green chilli. Saute them for a minute.
  3. Then add carrot and french beans. Saute them on a high flame for 2 minutes. This will give a smoky flavour to the dish.
  4. Now, add cabbage and saute for a minute on a high flame. Then turn off the gas.
  5. Add cooked rice and mix well. Then add Schezwan fried rice masala. Toss it lightly. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  6. Delicious 'Schezwan Fried Rice' is ready to be served.
