Zafrani Pulav | Hyderabadi Zafrani Pulao is a very rich rice preparation with the lip-smacking flavour of saffron, some whole spices and dry fruits. Zafran means Saffron in the Urdu Language. This pulao/pulav is very famous in Hyderabad. This rice is famous for its unique taste which comes from whole spices, dry fruits and saffron. It is little sour, sweet and mildly spicy preparation. Hence, it is suitable for all age groups. This is very quick and easy to make with the ingredients easily available in the kitchen. This is served with a dollop of butter and lots of saffron milk which makes it more aromatic and tasty. So, try to make this pulao at your end and let us know how you liked it.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-
- The whole spices are important for flavouring. So, do not avoid it.
- Traditionally, this rice is prepared in ghee/clarified butter only. So, use ghee to make the dish flavourful and rich.
- While adding the cooked rice in a pan, switch off the gas. This will make the rice fluffier and rice grains will not break.
- While serving, add the saffron milk and a dollop of butter. Butter makes it more aromatic and enhances the flavour too. And add fried onions on the top.
