Sooji Coconut Laddu | Semolina Coconut Laddu is a mouthwatering sweet for all.

Sooji Coconut Laddu | Semolina Coconut Laddu is delicious mithai for the festivals. This is very easy and quick to prepare with only 5 ingredients. This does not require much time and efforts. You have to just roast the semolina, coconut and dry nuts. As festivals are coming so, it is a perfect option for homemade mithai. Everyone will love this laddu as this has coconut and dry nuts. It is a unique combination which is very delightful. So, try to make this laddu at your end and enjoy the festive season with friends and family.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can store the laddu outside for up to 4 to 5 days. OR Keep it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Roast the dry nuts in little ghee. This will enhance the taste as well as give a crunchy taste.
  • Add milk in the batches to make the laddu.
  • It is recommended to use powdered sugar. It will mix properly with other ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Barik Sooji/Fine Semolina - 1 Cup
  • Desiccated Coconut - 1/2
  • Powdered Sugar - 3/4 Cup
  • Mixed Dry Nuts (Cashew Nuts, Pistachios, Raisins) - 3 Tablespoon
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 Tablespoon + 4 Teaspoon
  • Milk - 2 to 3 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take a pan and add 1 tablespoon ghee and heat it. Roast the semolina on a low flame for about 5 minutes. The colour of semolina will change little bit then switch off the gas. Transfer to bowl.
  2. Now, add 1 teaspoon ghee to the pan and heat it. Add dry nuts and roast it for a minute then add desiccated coconut. Roast it for few seconds. Then switch off the gas. Transfer to the semolina bowl.
  3. Add powdered sugar to the bowl with 2 to 3 Teaspoon of ghee.
  4. Now, add little milk to the mixture. Mix well. Check the binding or else add little more milk.
  5. Make laddu of the mixture.
  6. Yummy 'Sooji Coconut Laddu | Semolina Coconut Laddu' is ready to be served.
