Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING TOMATO PUREE :
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 2 Chopped
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 Inch chopped
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 1 Slited
  • FOR PREPARING SOYABEAN TIKKA SABJI | SOYA CHUNKS SABJI :
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoons
  • Bay Leaf / Tej Patta - 1
  • Cinnamon / Dal Chinni - 1 Stick
  • Cardamom / Elaichi - 2
  • Cloves / Laung - 3
  • Black peppercorns / Kali mirch - 3 to 4
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Onion / Pyaaz - 1 Finely chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chili powder / Lal mirchi powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds powder / Jeera powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Water - As required
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / Kasuri methi - 1 Teaspoon
  • FOR PREPARING SOYA CHUNKS :
  • Soya chunks / Soya vadi - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Salt - As per taste
  • FOR MARINATION:
  • Thick curd / Hung curd - 2 Tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic / Adrakh lahsun - 1 Teaspoon grated
  • Mustard oil / Sarso ka tel - 2 to 3 Tablespoons
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - A pinch
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Dry fenugreek leaves / Kasuri methi - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING SOYA CHUNKS :
  2. Boil water in a pan. Add salt and soya chunks. Boil it for 7 to 8 minutes on medium flame. Then strain the water. Keep it aside.
  3. FOR MARINATION:
  4. Take curd in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic, mustard oil, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, all spice mix powder, roasted cumin seeds, and dry fenugreek leaves. Mix well.
  5. Then add boiled soya chunks. Mix well. Cover the bowl with a lid. Then keep it aside for marination for 30 Minutes.
  6. FOR PREPARING TOMATO PUREE :
  7. Grind tomato, ginger, and green chilli in a grinding jar. Keep it aside.
  8. FOR PREPARING SOYABEAN TIKKA SABJI | SOYA CHUNKS SABJI :
  9. Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns, cumin seeds, asafoetida, and onion. Mix well. Saute it for 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Now add prepared tomato puree. Mix well. Then add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, and all spice mix powder. Mix well.
  11. Boil it for 10 minutes on low flame till oil separates. Add little water. Mix well.
  12. Now add marinated soya chunks. Mix well. Then add coriander leaves, all spice mix powder, dry fenugreek leaves by rubbing between your palms. Mix well.
  13. Once done, take it out in a serving bowl. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  14. 'Soyabean Tikka Sabji | Soya Chunks Sabji' is ready to be served.
