Spicy Paneer Burger is a restaurant style appetizer.

Spicy Paneer Burger is a protein-rich tea time snack. A thick spicy and crunchy paneer slice with cheese slice and tomato make it delectable. In addition, the dip mixture of tomato ketchup and veg mayonnaise is enough to make it enjoyable. This recipe does not require much time and effort. Moreover, the best part is this homemade burger tastes just like a restaurant style burger. It is a great recipe to include in your party menu for guests with french fries and some cold drinks. Ingredients

  • Cottage Cheese / Paneer - 1 Thick slice
  • English Oven Burger Bun - 1
  • Whole Wheat Flour / Gehu Ka Aata - 1 Cup
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 2 tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder / Kali Mirch Powder - 1 tsp + As required
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Black Salt / Kala Namak - As per taste
  • Mixed Herbs - 1 tsp
  • Ginger-Green Chilli Paste / Adrakh-Hari Mirchi Paste - 1 tsp
  • Water - As required
  • Ground Flattened Rice / Poha Powder - As required
  • Oil - As required
  • Butter - As required
  • Veg Mayonnaise - 1 tbsp
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilli Sauce - 1/2 tbsp
  • Lettuce Leaf - 1 (optional)
  • Tomato Slices / Tamatar - 2 to 3
  • Cheese Slice - 1
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl. Add red chilli powder, black pepper powder, salt, black salt, mixed herbs, and ginger-green chilli paste. Mix well.
  2. Then add water gradually and prepare a lumps-free medium thick consistency batter.
  3. Take paneer slice and dip it in the prepared batter, and coat it evenly.
  4. Then take poha powder on a plate. Add salt and black pepper powder. Mix well. Then coat the prepared paneer piece with poha powder evenly.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan over medium flame. When the oil is hot, add the prepared paneer slice.
  6. Now shallow fry it for 4 to 5 minutes on low to medium flame from both sides by turning it in between till it becomes a nice golden brown and crispy from both sides.
  7. Once done, take it out to a plate and keep it aside.
  8. Heat a tawa. Apply butter on the inside of the burger bun. Toast it lightly from inside. Once done, take it out to a serving plate.
  9. Now take tomato ketchup, veg mayonnaise, and red chilli sauce in a bowl. Mix well. Apply it to both burger bun's inner parts.
  10. Add lettuce leaf on the inner part of the lower burger bun. Put the prepared paneer slice on it. Add tomato slices on it. Sprinkle salt and black pepper powder on it.
  11. Add a cheese slice on it. Now cover the prepared burger with an upper burger bun.
  12. 'Spicy Paneer Burger' is ready to be served.
