Ingredients

  • Roasted Begal Gram / Daaliya dal - 1/2 Cup
  • Coconut / Fresh Nariyal - 1/2 Cup chopped
  • Curry leaves / Curry Patta - A few
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 1 inch
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirch - 2 chopped
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - Handful
  • Garlic / Lahsun - 3 Cloves (optional)
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Water - As required
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon
  • Dry Red Chili / Sukhi Laal mirchi - 2
  • Mustard seeds / Rai - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take roasted bengal gram, coconut, curry leaves, ginger, green chili, coriander leaves, garlic, salt in a grinding jar and dry grind it .
  2. Now add water gradually to adjust the consistency. Grind it again then transfer it into a bowl.
  3. Now heat dry red chili and oil in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds. Let it crackle.
  4. Then pour tadka on the prepared chutney. Mix well.
  5. 'Tadke Wali Coconut Chutney' is ready to be served.
