Veg Burger is a mouth-watering dish.

Veg Burger is a yummy and lip-smacking dish. Kids and adults will love and enjoy it. Here, is a wonderful recipe to make burger at the comfort of your home. The salad dressing is crunchy and saucy with the mayonnaise. The aloo tikki mainly requires potato. However, the addition of vegetables like onion, green peas, carrot, paneer and coriander leaves along with breadcrumbs makes it healthy and tasty. The spices like red chili powder, dry mango powder, cumin seeds powder makes it spicy and tangy. So, try this recipe and let us know your feedback in the comment section.

Ingredients

  • FOR ALOO TIKKI:
  • Potato/Aloo - 2 no boiled
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 small finely chopped
  • Carrot/Gajar - 1 small grated
  • Green peas/Hare matar - 1/2 cup boiled
  • Cottage Cheese/Paneer - 1/2 cup grated
  • Coriander leaves - a handful chopped
  • Chaat masala - to taste
  • Dry mango powder/Amchur powder - to taste
  • Green chili-Ginger paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red chili powder/Lal mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder/Jeera powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Breadcrumbs - 2 tablespoon
  • Oil - as required
  • FOR SALAD DRESSING:
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion/Pyaz - 1 no long cut
  • Cabbage - 1/2 cup long cut
  • Capsicum/Shimla Mirch - 1/2 no long cut
  • Salt - to taste
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon (optional)
  • FOR MAKING THE BURGER:
  • Aloo tikki - 1 no
  • Salad dressing - as required
  • Cheese - 1 slice
  • Burger bun - 1 no

Instructions

  1. FOR ALOO TIKKI:
  2. In a bowl, take the boiled and mashed potato. Put the finely chopped onion, grated carrot, boiled green peas and grated paneer.
  3. Then, put the chopped coriander leaves, chaat masala, dry mango powder, green chili-ginger paste, salt to taste, red chili powder and roasted cumin seeds powder. Mash with hands.
  4. Now, put the breadcrumbs and mix with hands. Add more breadcrumbs if required for binding. Apply oil on the palms.
  5. Take a medium size portion of the tikki mixture. Make a flat round shape tikki. Heat about 1 tablespoon of oil and place the aloo tikki on it. Roast it from both the sides.
  6. FOR SALAD DRESSING:
  7. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in another pan. Put the long cut onion, cabbage, capsicum. Saute on high flame. Put salt to taste. Keep them crunchy.
  8. Once done, switch off the flame and take out in a bowl. Put the mayonnaise in the bowl and mix well.
  9. FOR BURGER:
  10. Cut the burger bun into half. Apply butter on it. Then place them on the hot pan same as the aloo tikki pan. Apply butter on top of it. Roast lightly from both the sides.
  11. Take out the burger bun in a tray. Place the cheese slice and then aloo tikki on one bun. Put the salad dressing on it. Keep the other bun.
  12. The Veg Burger is ready to be served.
