Veg Fried Rice | Chinese Fried Rice is a most popular Indo-Chinese dish and loved by everyone.

A colourful and delicious rice preparation is ‘Veg Fried Rice | Chinese Fried Rice’. This is quick and easy to prepare with easily available ingredients. This uses lots of veggies like spring onion, beans, carrot, capsicum which makes it very healthy and tasty too. It is a simple recipe yet a flavourful preparation. You can have it with chilli paneer as a complete meal or only the rice as a snack. It tastes amazing in any form. This is a favourite rice preparation among kids and adults. Now, you can easily prepare this dish at home by following this easy recipe. This requires little preparation that is chopping the veggies. So, try to make this dish at your end and enjoy with your loved ones.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can use vegetables as per availability and choice.
  • Adjust the spiciness according to your taste. If you are making the rice for kids then avoid green chilli.
  • Avoid mushrooms if you want. You can use paneer/cottage cheese, soya chunks.
  • It is better to use cooled rice. You can use leftover rice too. The rice should not be sticky else it will not taste good.
  • You can use lemon juice instead of vinegar.

Ingredients

  • Cooked Rice - 1 Cup
  • Grated Ginger - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Grated Garlic - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Spring Onion - 2 to 3 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • French Beans - 2 to 3 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Carrot - 2 to 3 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Red Capsicum - 2 to 3 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Soy Sauce - 1 to 2 Tablespoon
  • Mushrooms - 2 Tablespoon diced (optional)
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Red Chilli Flakes or Red Chilli powder - as per taste
  • Vinegar - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Then add grated ginger, garlic and chopped green chilli. Saute them for few seconds.
  2. Then add spring onion and saute it on a high flame for few seconds.
  3. Add chopped french beans, carrot, red capsicum. Mix and saute on a high flame for few seconds.
  4. Add soy sauce and cook it. Then add mushrooms to it. Mix well and cook.
  5. Lower the flame then add black pepper powder, cooked rice, red chilli flakes. Toss it well. Cook for a minute.
  6. Finally add vinegar to it. Mix well and switch off the gas. Transfer to a serving plate.
  7. Delicious 'Veg Fried Rice | Chinese Fried Rice' is ready to be served.
