Veg Manchow Soup is a famous and delicious soup for everyone.

Veg Manchow Soup is a very popular and lovable soup recipe. This uses lots of vegetable like carrot, cabbage, beans, capsicum, mushroom and onion. This soup is not only filling and delicious but very healthy too. You can enjoy this soup at any time and any season. This soup helps to incorporate veggies in the diet. As we know kids don’t like to eat veggies. By preparing this soup they will love it and they will eat veggies happily. Veggies are rich in vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. And if we include this soup in the diet, it helps to reduce weight too. Moreover, it is very simple and quick to make without many efforts. So, try to make this soup at your end and enjoy with your loved oned. Do share your feedback as well.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • You can add veggies of your choice to the soup.
  • As kids don’t like to eat veggies then you can blend the soup.
  • Adding cornflour/cornstarch is completely optional.
  • You can adjust the consistency of the soup according to your taste.
  • You can make it a complete meal by adding boiled or deep-fried noodles to it. It adds crunch to the soup if we add fried noodles.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 1/4 Cup chopped
  • Grated Carrot - 1/4 Cup
  • French Beans - 1/4 Cup finely chopped
  • Mushrooms - 1/4 Cup diced (optional)
  • Red Capsicum - 2 Tablespoon
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Spring Onion Greens - 2 Tablespoon
  • Onion - 1/2 finely chopped
  • Soy Sauce - 2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Sauce - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black Pepper Powder - as per taste
  • Water - 2 Cup
  • Lemon - juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Cornflour/Corn starch - 2 Tablespoon mixed with 2 Tablespoon water (optional)
  • Oil - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste. Saute it for few seconds.
  2. Add green chilli, spring onion greens and saute it. Keep the flame high.
  3. Then add onion and saute for few seconds. Add diced mushrooms and chopped french beans. Saute and add little water so that it will not burn. Cook for few seconds.
  4. Add grated carrot and red capsicum. Saute it for few seconds.
  5. Add cabbage, mix well and cook it for 2 minutes. After the veggies gets soften little bit then add soy sauce, red chilli sauce, salt, black pepper powder. Mix well and cook. well a
  6. Add 2 cups of water. Lower the flame and bring it to boil.
  7. Once the soup is boiled, then add cornflour mixture. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  8. Add lemon juice and simmer it for 2 minutes. Then switch off the gas.
  9. Delicious 'Veg Manchow Soup' is ready to be served. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
