Veg Tunday Kabab Wrap is a protein-rich and healthy dish.

Veg Tunday Kabab Wrap gives you energy for the whole day. You will get the goodness of soya chunks with rajma and a nice combination of malai paratha. In addition, It is better for our health because of the abundant supply of protein which makes it a complete meal when served at a party or any get-together. Tips and Suggestions by the Mom Chef :

  • For binding, you can add bread crumbs and roasted gram flour as required.
  •  The oil should be used in less quantity while roasting kababs.
  • The kababs should not be flipped often.

Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING VEG TUNDAY KABAB :
  • Kidney beans / Rajma - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Soya Chunks / Soya Vadi - 1/2 Cup
  • Bread crumbs - 2 tbsp
  • Roasted gram flour / Bhuna besan - 2 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1/2 tsp
  • All spice mix powder / Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Dry mango powder / Amchur - 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron / Kesar - 8 to 10 Strands
  • Milk - 1 tbsp
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - 1 tsp + For greasing
  • Oil - As required
  • FOR PREPARING MALAI PARATHA :
  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 Cup
  • Poppy seeds / Khas-khas - 1 tsp
  • Homemade malai - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - As required
  • FOR PREPARING PYAZ LACHHA SALAD :
  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Sliced
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful + For garnishing
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING VEG TUNDAY KABAB :
  2. Soak rajma overnight. Then cook it in a pressure cooker till 4 to 5 whistles on a medium flame. Rinse water. Keep it aside.
  3. Soak saffron in milk for 10 to 15 minutes. Keep it aside.
  4. Boil soya chunks in water for 8 to 10 minutes. Then squeeze water from it.
  5. Take boiled soya chunks and soaked rajma in a grinding jar. Grind it to prepare its paste. Take it out to a bowl.
  6. Add bread crumbs, roasted besan, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, all spice mix powder, dry mango powder, soaked saffron, and ghee. Mix well.
  7. Grease your palms with ghee. Take a big ball-sized portion of the mixture. Press it with your hands and prepare flattened kabab. Likewise, prepare all kababs.
  8. Meanwhile, heat Wonderchef non stick pan over medium flame. Add little oil. Place the prepared kabab in a pan. Roast it on a low to medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Flip it and roast it from another side on a low flame for 3 to 4 minutes. Likewise, roast all kababs. Once done, take it out on a plate. Keep it aside.
  10. FOR PREPARING MALAI PARATHA :
  11. Take maida, poppy seeds, homemade malai, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Mix well. Add milk gradually and prepare medium soft dough.
  12. Take small ball sized dough and make round shaped circular peda. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a thin paratha.
  13. Meanwhile, heat a Wonderchef tawa. Grease it with ghee. Place the prepared paratha on it and cook it on one side. Apply ghee to it and flip it, once it is slightly brown.
  14. Apply ghee on both sides and cook on a medium flame till it becomes nicely golden brown paratha. Once done, transfer it to a plate.
  15. FOR PREPARING PYAZ LACHHA SALAD :
  16. Take onion in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, and coriander leaves. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  17. FOR PREPARING VEG TUNDAY KABAB WRAP :
  18. Take malai paratha. Put 2 kababs on it by slightly pressing them. Then add the prepared pyaz lachha salad to it.
  19. Then fold malai paratha's left and right parts on it. Now fold it into half and secure it with toothpick. Garnish other kababs with onion rings and coriander leaves.
  20. 'Veg Tunday Kabab Wrap' is ready to be served.
