Vrat Ke Aloo | Vrat Wale Aloo is a delicious dish for fasting days. 

Vrat Ke Aloo | Vrat Wale Aloo is quick and easy to prepare. This only requires boiled potato, roasted peanuts and some spices like ginger, green chilli, cumin. You can have it alone or with Kuttu ki poori or rajgira poori. Peanuts add crunch to the dish as well as enhances the taste. This is a special recipe you can have on the fasting days. As we know Navratri is around the corner and many people fast for nine days. This is a perfect recipe for fast as well as for a snack. So, try to make this yummy dish at home and enjoy with your family.

Ingredients

  • Boiled potato - 2 big-sized, diced
  • Peanuts - 2 Teaspoon, roasted and crushed
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Ginger-Green Chilli Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Rock Salt - to taste
  • Lemon Juice - of 1/2 lemon
  • Coriander leaves - 1 Tablespoon, chopped
  • Ghee/Clarified Butter - 2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Dice the boiled potato.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan then and add cumin seeds. Let the seeds crackle.
  3. Add diced boiled potato and sauté it for a minute.
  4. Then add ginger-green chilli paste, and salt, Mix well and sauté it.
  5. Add crushed peanuts and mix well. Finally add lemon juice to it, mix well and turn off the gas. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  6. Delicious 'Vrat Ke Aloo | Vrat Wale Aloo' is ready to be served.
