3 Types Of Lassi recipe is a quick and easy refreshing drink. This includes Makhaniya Lassi, Kesar lassi, and dry fruits lassi. With a common ingredient, that is curd, we can make these quick and easy lassis. The flavours of each lassi are unique and distinct. These sweet summer special drinks will definitely refresh your summer afternoons. Moreover, these are quite easy to make too. So, try to make these refreshing drinks and enjoy the summer season with family.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef –

  • FOR PREPARING MAKHANIYA LASSI –
  • Add sugar according to your taste.
  • Here, we have added a little water to adjust consistency. But you can add milk too.
  • FOR PREPARING KESAR LASSI –
  • Soak saffron strands in water for half an hour before making lassi.
  • Add sugar according to your taste
  • FOR  PREPARING DRY FRUITS LASSI –
  • Add dry fruits that are available
  • Add sugar according to your taste.
  • For every type of lassi, use wooden churner / mathani to give that authentic flavour.

Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR MAKHANIYA LASSI -
  • Thick curd - 1/2 cup ( chilled )
  • Homemade cream/Makhan/Malai - 1 Tablespoon
  • Powdered sugar - 2 Teaspoons or to taste
  • Ice cubes - a few
  • Water - as required
  • Dry fruits (pistachios, almonds and cashews) - 1 Teaspoon for garnishing
  • INGREDIENTS FOR KESAR LASSI -
  • Thick curd - 1/2 cup (chilled)
  • Saffron/Kesar strands - 10 to 12 strands (pre-soaked in milk or water)
  • Cardamom powder/Elaichi powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar - 2 teaspoons or to taste
  • Ice cubes - a few
  • Water - as required
  • INGREDIENTS FOR DRY FRUITS LASSI -
  • Thick curd - 1/2 cup (chilled)
  • Dry fruits (pistachios, almonds and cashews) - 1 teaspoon + 3 Teaspoons for garnishing (as per your liking)
  • Powdered sugar - 2 Teaspoons or to taste
  • Ice cubes - a few
  • Water - as required.

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING MAKHANIYA LASSI -
  2. In a vessel, add curd and homemade cream.
  3. Now, add powdered sugar, according to your taste. Whisk it nicely with the help of wooden churner/mathani.
  4. Add ice cubes and whisk again thoroughly. Adjust the consistency by adding a little water.
  5. Transfer the lassi to a serving glass and top it up with a spoon of homemade cream.
  6. Makhaniya Lassi is ready to be relished.
  7. PREPARING KESAR LASSI -
  8. In a vessel, take curd and add pre-soaked saffron strands.
  9. Add cardamom powder, ice cubes and water. Mix well with the help of a wooden churner/mathani.
  10. Add powdered sugar, and whisk again.
  11. Transfer to a serving glass and sprinkle a pinch of cardamom powder and the leftover strands of saffron.
  12. Lip smacking Kesar Lassi is ready to be gulped down.
  13. PREPARING DRY FRUITS LASSI -
  14. In a vessel, add curd, powdered sugar, ice cubes and water.
  15. Add the dryfruits and whisk properly with a wooden churner / mathani.
  16. Transfer the lassi to a serving glass and garnish it with a handful (approximately 2 teaspoons) of dry fruits.
  17. Delicious Dry Fruit Lassi is ready to be savoured.
