Aloo Tikki | Kurkuri Aloo Tikki is a lip-smacking tea-time snack for everyone. 

Aloo Tikki | Kurkuri Aloo Tikki is a crispy and delicious snack. You need fewer ingredients like potato, semolina/sooji and some spices to make this snack. Sooji or rawa makes the tikki very crispy. This is a quick and super easy snack that you can enjoy with your tea. Kids and all family members will love this snack. So, try to make it at your end and let us know your feedback.

Ingredients

  • Boiled potato/aloo - 1
  • Onion - 1 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Semolina/Sooii/Rava - 3 to 4 Teaspoon or as required
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli powder - as per taste
  • Cumin seeds/jeera - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Garam masala/All spice mix - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - as per taste
  • Mixed Herbs - as per taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1 to 2 tablespoon chopped
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - as required for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add boiled mashed potato, onion, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, garam masala, chaat masala, mixed herbs, chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and add semolina and salt. Check the binding of the mixture. It should form like a dough else add more semolina.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal parts and shape them to tikki.
  3. Meanwhile, heat oil for shallow frying.
  4. Once the oil is hot, shallow fry the tikki on slow flame from both the sides. Once it turns nice golden brown and crisp, take them out.
  5. Delicious 'Aloo Tikki | Kurkuri Aloo Tikki' is ready to be served with chutney or ketchup.
