Baingan Roll is a tasty and amazing dish.

Baingan Roll is a completely innovative way of making rolls from brinjal. You have to just fry brinjal and add dry masala on it and roll into a roti. Moreover, it is an easy way to pack it for kids and office tiffin boxes or for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The fried brinjal slices taste amazing with dry spices. In addition, this is quicker to prepare and a simple dish but very tasty. You can serve it with green chutney and tomato ketchup. Ingredients

  • FOR PREPARING DRY MASALA :
  • Dry mango powder / Aamchur - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • FOR PREPARING BAINGAN ROLL :
  • Big sized brinjal / Bharta baingan - 1/4
  • Oil - For frying
  • Chapati / Roti - 1

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING DRY MASALA :
  2. Take aamchur, salt, and red chilli powder in a bowl. Mix well. Keep it aside.
  3. FOR PREPARING BAINGAN ROLL :
  4. Take washed brinjal. Then cut it from the top. Now cut brinjal into half vertically, then cut into one-fourth the same vertically.
  5. Now cut thin slices from one-fourth part of the brinjal. Make a half vertical slit on each slice of brinjal.
  6. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan to fry the brinjal. Place brinjal slices into the hot oil. Fry them on high flame.
  7. Deep fry them until they become crispy and golden brown from both sides. Then, take them out on an oil-absorbing towel using a slotted spoon.
  8. Now sprinkle prepared dry masala on it.
  9. Take a roti. Place prepared masala brinjal on it. Roll the roti to make a complete roll.
  10. Roll it in foil paper and seal both ends and then cut it in half. Take it out to a serving plate.
  11. 'Baingan Roll' is ready to be served.
