Besan Ka Khasta Paratha is a crispy and mouthwatering paratha for everyone. 

Besan Ka Khasta Paratha is a popular paratha from Rajasthani cuisine. The spicy besan mixture is stuffed in the dough, rolled and cooked to make this paratha. This can be a good tiffin snack option for kids or breakfast option for all family members or even an evening tea-time snack. Moreover, this is only a 5-minute effort recipe. This flaky, crispy and tastes like besan ki kachori. This paratha goes well with any type of raita, curd and pickle. Everyone will love this paratha. So, try to make it at home and enjoy with your family and friends.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour Dough/Gehu Ka Aata - as required
  • Besan/Gram Flour - 2 Tablespoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black pepper powder - as per taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds/Jeera - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Hing/Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Ajwain/Carom Seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi/Dry Fenugreek Leaves - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - as required

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add besan/gram flour, salt, black salt, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, carom seeds, kasuri methi. Add oil to make paste..
  2. Take a small portion of the dough and roll it to make roti. Then spread the mixture on it. Fold to make it triangle shape.
  3. Dust the paratha and roll it with light hands.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a tawa.
  5. Cook the paratha on a low flame by applying the oil. Cook the paratha from both the sides. Once it turns golden brown and crisp, take it out on a serving plate.
  6. Delicious 'Besan Ka Khasta Paratha' is ready to be served.
