Besan Ki Kheer is a lip-smacking dessert. 

Besan Ki Kheer is a flavourful and delicious preparation. You just need besan/gram flour, milk, some dry fruits, ghee and 5 minutes to prepare this kheer. This is a good home remedy for cold and cough as this uses black pepper. You can serve it as a dessert or a snack for your family. All family members will love this kheer. It has a distinct aroma and flavour because of roasted besan. This is super easy to prepare for winter days. It is a famous dish from Haryana. So, try to make this kheer at home and enjoy with your family. Do share your feedback as well.

Ingredients

  • Besan/ gram flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Ghee/ clarified butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Black peppercorns/ kali Mirch - 2
  • Almonds - as required, chopped
  • Cardamom powder - a pinch

Instructions

  1. Boil milk in a vessel. Add sugar to it. Stir well.
  2. Meanwhile, heat ghee in a pan.
  3. Add gram flour and roast it on a low flame. Roast it until it turns golden brown and aromatic. Add black peppercorns, crushed/chopped almonds while roasting the gram flour.
  4. Once the gram flour is roasted, add boiled milk. Stir it continuously. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Cook it on a high flame. Once it thickens, turn off the flame.
  5. Transfer the kheer to a serving bowl and garnish it with raisins and chopped almonds.
  6. Delicious 'Besan Ki Kheer' is ready to be served.
