Besan Palak Chilla | Palak Cheela is a simple and healthy recipe prepared from palak, besan, coriander leaves, and spices. Palak is a rich source of vitamins A, C, and K, magnesium, iron, and manganese. Including spinach in your daily diet helps in curing several health issues. This cheela is an exceptional way to introduce the palak to your kid, who does not like it. It is a perfect recipe that you can try for your fussy eaters.   • Use fresh palak and wash it properly before using it.
  • Make sure, to finely chop the veggies.
  • Roast the cheela on a low to medium flame, to make it crispy.
  • Adjust the spice and serve it hot for a better taste.

Ingredients

  • Palak/ spinach - 1 bowl
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1/2 finely chopped (optional)
  • Tomato - 1/2 small-sized finely chopped
  • Green chili paste - 1/2 teaspoon or as required
  • Ginger - 1/2-inch finely chopped
  • Salt - as required
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon or as required
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - as required
  • Besan/ gram flour - 3(1/2) tablespoons or as required
  • Water - as required
  • Ghee/ clarified butter - as required

Instructions

  1. Wash the chopped palak properly.
  2. Take a bowl and add palak, coriander leaves, onion, tomato, green chili paste, ginger, salt, roasted cumin seeds powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, and besan. Mix it properly.
  3. Add water little by little and mix it. Prepare a batter of medium consistency.
  4. Heat a pan and add ghee. Take a ladleful of batter and spread it on the pan to a circular shape.
  5. Apply ghee to the edges and center. Cover it and allow it to cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Flip it and apply ghee. Press it gently and allow it to cook until golden and crispy from both sides.
  7. Delicious Besan Palak Chilla | Chila | Cheela is ready to be served.
