Bhindi Ki Sabzi | Okra Fry Without Onion is a very delicious dish. It has okra/bhindi as the main ingredient with some spices. It is easy to make with easily available ingredients at every home. Moreover, okra is packed with dietary fibre, which makes you feel full for a longer time. Okra is low fat and low-calorie vegetable and helps to boost digestion. It goes well with parathas and chapati. This is kids special and one of the favourite dish. So, try to make it at home and let us know your feedback.

  • To get rid of sticky okra, wash and dry it. Apply oil on the knife and then chop okras.
  • Sugar is optional. It is used to keep the colour intact.
  • Do not add water while cooking the bhindi/okra.
  • If you want you can add fennel seeds.

Ingredients

  • Okra / Lady's Finger / Bhindi - 250 Grams
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon Or As Required
  • Coriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Dry Mango Powder / Amchur Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oil - As Required
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Sugar - 1 Pinch (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry Okra. Chop it in round pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds in it.
  3. Then add okra and stir it. Keep gas on meduim flame.
  4. After a minute, cover it and let it cook. Stir it in between.
  5. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
  6. Mix it well. Cover it again for a minute.
  7. Then add dry mango powder and mix it. Turn off the gas flame and add sugar. Mix it well.
  8. Delicious 'Bhindi Ki Sabzi | Okra Fry Without Onion' is ready to be served.
