Bhurji Sandwich | Crumbled Paneer Sandwich is stuffed with spiced bhurji and then toasted or grilled. This is a quick paneer recipe as preparing the bhurji does not take much time. In case, you have already prepared bhurji, then you just need to toast the sandwiches. These sandwiches are good for a quick brunch or lunch box. The paneer is scrambled and sauteed along with onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and spices. The bhurji is then stuffed inside the bread as a filling and lastly grate the cheese. Bhurji Sandwich tastes good with spicy green chutney, tomato ketchup, or you can eat it as it is. So try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with the family and friends. Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Onion - 1/2 small-sized finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 2 tablespoons finely chopped
  • Tomato - 2 tablespoons finely chopped
  • Paneer/ cottage cheese - 1/2 bowl crumbled
  • Salt - as required
  • Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon or as required
  • Chaat masala - 1/4 teaspoon or as required
  • Peri-peri - as required
  • White/ multigrain / brown bread - 2 slices
  • Cheese - grated as required

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a pan, add green chili, onions, and saute it on high flame.
  2. Add capsicum, tomato, and saute it well. Keep the flame high.
  3. Add paneer and saute it on low to medium flame.
  4. Add salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, and peri-peri. Saute it well and turn off the flame.
  5. Take a bread slice, spread bhurji properly over the bread, grate the cheese on it.
  6. Further, cover it with another slice of bread.
  7. Heat a pan, grease it with the butter, and place the sandwich on it.
  8. Press it gently and keep the flame low to medium.
  9. Grease butter on the top and toast it from both the side, until it becomes crispy and golden.
  10. Transfer it on a serving plate and cut into halves.
  11. Delicious Bhurji Sandwich | Crumbled Paneer Sandwich is ready to be served.
