Bread Aloo Tikki  a simple, mouthwatering, and spiced snack.

Bread Aloo Tikki is an easy and filling breakfast or snack that gets ready in a few minutes. It is very delicious and yummy finger food for toddlers. You can even pack this as a snack for kids, the main ingredients for this recipe are bread, potatoes, spices, and sesame coating. The crispiness for this tikki comes from the sesame seeds coating. The addition of bread in this tikki gives a nice soft texture and also makes it slightly crispy from outside. Tikkis are good tea time snacks and great during monsoons. A cup of hot tea also goes very well with them. Overall you get a good balance of texture, taste, and flavor. So try to prepare it at home and enjoy it with the family and friends. Ingredients

  • Aloo/Potato - 2 medium-sized boiled
  • Salt - as required
  • Red Chilli/Lal Mirch powder - 1/2 teaspoon (or as required)
  • Garam Masala/All Spice Mix - 1/4 teaspoon (or as required)
  • Dry Mango Powder/Amchur - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ginger - green chili paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  • Paneer/ Cottage Cheese - 1 teaspoon grated
  • Oil - as required
  • White/ multigrain/ brown bread - 2 slices
  • Water - as required
  • Til Dane/Sesame seeds - as required

Instructions

  1. Mash boiled potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur powder, ginger-green chili paste, coriander leaves, and paneer. Mix well.
  3. Take 2 slices of bread and remove their borders.
  4. Dip the bread slices in water. Then, gently squeeze out the water.
  5. Place the above potato masala stuffing/ filling on the bread.
  6. Bring all the edges of the bread together to seal it. Press from the center and flatten them in the shape of tikki.
  7. Roll the shaped tikki over sesame seeds.
  8. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan and fry the tikki on a medium flame till golden brown.
  9. Remove excess oil using a kitchen towel. Repeat the same with all the tikki.
  10. Delicious Bread Aloo Tikki is ready to be served.
