Ingredients

  • Chickpea / Chhole - 1 Cup
  • Water - As required
  • Boiled Potato / Aloo - 1/2 Peeled and mashed
  • Carrot / Gajar - 1/2 Grated
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - A handful
  • Black Salt / Kala Namak - As per taste
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chhole Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - As required
  • Cooked Roti - 2
  • tsp = teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight. Transfer soaked chickpeas to a pressure cooker and cook it till 2 to 3 whistles and become soft. Once done, strain chickpeas.
  2. Then take boiled chickpeas in a mixing bowl. Add boiled potato, carrot, coriander leaves, black salt, salt, red chilli powder, chhole masala, and chaat masala. Mix well by mashing the chhole. Take a small ball sized mixture to prepare a round shaped ball. Likewise, prepare another ball.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Grease it with ghee and place the prepared chhole masala ball and cover it with a roti.
  4. Press the roti with your hands and spatula to make it flat. Roast it from both sides by applying ghee till it becomes crispy.
  5. Now add cheese on the stuffing side in half roti. Fold it from the middle and press it. Roast it from both sides by applying ghee till it becomes crispy. Likewise, prepare another wrap.
  6. Once it is done. Take it out on the serving plate.
  7. 'Chhole Cheese Roti Wrap' is ready to be served.
