Chutney Wale Paneer Ke Pakode is a famous snack in North India.

Chutney Wale Paneer Ke Pakode is the perfect restaurant-style appetizer or festive snack. It is a very unique deep-fried fritter with a crispy outer layer of gram flour and soft moist paneer inside. Besides, this recipe is the ideal choice for guests or for a party menu. Also, you can enjoy it in the monsoon season with a hot cup of tea on a cosy evening with family. Ingredients

  • FOR BATTER :
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1/2 Cup
  • Salt / Namak - As Per Taste
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder / Mirchi Powder - As Per Taste
  • Ginger - Green Chilli Paste / Adrakh Mirchi Paste - 1/2 to 1 Teaspoon
  • Carom Seeds / Ajwain - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - 1Teaspoon Finely Chopped
  • Water - As Required
  • Baking Soda - 1 Pinch
  • FOR STUFFING :
  • Cottage Cheese / Paneer cubes - As Required
  • Green Chutney - As Required
  • Oil - For Deep Frying
  • Chaat Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger green chilli paste, carom seeds, coriander leaves and add little bit of water gradually to make lumps free medium consistency batter.
  2. Add baking soda and mix well. Or you can mix it one direction for 1 to 2 minutes to make fluffy batter and keep aside.
  3. Now take a paneer cube and cut it from the middle keeping other side intact using a knife. Cut all the slices in a similar way.
  4. Take one slice of paneer and stuff it with green chutney, repeat same process for remaining ones.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame and when the oil is medium hot, dip a stuffed paneer slice in the prepared batter and coat it evenly.
  6. Place it gently into the hot oil, when top surface turns light golden brown, flip them using a slotted spoon.
  7. Deep fry them until crispy and light golden brown from both sides, take them out using a slotted spoon.
  8. Take them out over a paper napkin in a plate to remove excess oil, and sprinkle chaat masala and coriander leaves over the pakodas.
  9. Chutney Wale Paneer Ke Pakode is ready to serve.
