Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS FOR CAKE:-
  • Refined flour/Maida - 2 & 1/2 Cup
  • Sugar - 2 Cup
  • Yogurt - 1 Cup
  • Melted Butter - 3/4 Cup
  • Baking powder - 3 Tablespoon
  • Vinegar - 1 Teaspoon
  • Hot water - 1 Cup
  • Palak/Spinach - 1 Tablespoon
  • Carrot Juice - 1 Tablespoon
  • Beetroot Juice - 1 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 Teaspoon + 1 Pinch
  • INGREDIENTS FOR WHIPPED CREAM:-
  • Malai/Homemade Cream - 2 Cups chilled
  • Powdered sugar - 1/2 Cup
  • Ice - 1 big bowl
  • Sprinklers - as required for Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add butter, sugar and yogurt. Blend with blender for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Add vinegar and blend it again
  3. Add refined flour and blend on slow in one direction only till everything gets mixed. Then add baking powder and mix well.
  4. Add hot water and blend till everything is mixed well. Make batter of flowing but thick consistency.
  5. Divide the batter into four bowls.
  6. Add palak juice to one bowl. Similarly add carrot and a pinch of turmeric powder to one bowl and beetroot to another bowl. Mix well.
  7. Add turmeric to remaining bowl.
  8. Now take 4 baking tray same size. Grease and dust with flour all the baking trays. Pour the mixture one by one in all baking trays.
  9. Bake each of them at 180 degrees Celsius in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Once all the cakes are baked, cool them for a day in the refrigerator.
  11. Cut the cakes in desired shapes. So that can be stacked on each other.
  12. In bowl add ice, put other bowl which is smaller than the first one.
  13. Add malai/homemade cream to it.
  14. Beat with blender for 3 minutes then add powdered sugar. Again beat until it becomes thick and glossy
  15. Place one cake on the board, spread the whipped cream.
  16. Then place the other coloured cake, repeat the process till you stake all the cakes.
  17. Spread whipped cream on the sides as well as on the top of the cake. Garnish it with colourful sprinklers. Keep the cake in fridge for 1/2 hour before serving.
  18. Delicious 'Colourful Cake' is ready to be served.
