Dahi Wale Aloo | Dahi Aloo is delicious and spicy curry.

Dahi Wale Aloo | Dahi Aloo is a flavourful sabji for dinner or lunch. You can serve it with hot chapati, dal, and rice to make your meal complete. In addition, it takes very little time to prepare. So It is easy to cook on busy weekdays. It is different than the regular aloo sabji.   • The gram flour should be added to the curd, so the curd will not curdle.
  • The salt should be added after the curd starts to boil, so the curd will not curdle.
  • Add water to adjust the consistency of the gravy as per your choice.

Ingredients

  • Boiled potato / Aloo - 3 to 4 Peeled
  • Oil - 2 Tablespoons
  • Mustard seeds / Rai - 1 Teaspoon
  • Dry red chilli / Sukhi lal mirch - 1
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander powder / Dhaniya powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Water - As required
  • Curd / Dahi - 1 Cup
  • Gram flour / Besan - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Coriander Leaves / Hara Dhaniya - For garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take boiled potato and roughly chop it with hand. Keep it aside.
  2. Take curd in a grinding jar. Add gram flour and grind it for a few seconds. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, dry red chilli, asafoetida, boiled potato, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  4. Saute it on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Now add little water. Mix well. Boil it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Now add the ground curd mixture. Mix well and keep stirring till it starts to boil. Then add salt. Mix well.
  6. Once done, garnish it with coriander leaves and take it out to a serving bowl.
  7. 'Dahi Wale Aloo | Dahi Aloo' is ready to be served.
