Danamethi Hari Mirch Ki Sabji is a delicious and very healthy sabji for everyone. 

Danamethi Hari Mirch Ki Sabji is very nutritious and tasty sabji. This uses Dana methi/fenugreek seeds, green chillies, some spices. This is spicy, little tangy and a flavourful preparation. Moreover, this is quick and easy to prepare. Everyone can enjoy this sabzi with roti or paratha or as a side dish for your meals. As we know danamethi/fenugreek seeds are very healthy. These are good for everyone, especially diabetic people. It helps to lower the blood sugar level and helps to control blood pressure as well. So, try to make this sabji at home and enjoy with your loved ones.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • If you have time then you can soak the danamethi/fenugreek seeds. OR you can boil it until cooked.
  • Remove the seeds of green chillies if they are spicy.
  • If you want you can add red chilli powder to the masala.
  • Cook the green chillies more or less according to your taste.

Ingredients

  • Green Chilli - 3 big sized
  • Danamethi/Fenugreek Seeds - 2 to 3 Tablespoon soaked
  • Saunf/Fennel Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Saunf/Fennel Seeds powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Jeera/Cumin seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon + 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Rai/Mustard seeds - 1/4 Teaspoon
  • Asafoetida/Hing - a pinch
  • Amchur/Dry Mango Powder- 1 Teaspoon
  • Haldi/Turmeric powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Oil - 1 Teaspoon _ 2 Tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Soak the danamethi/fenugreek seeds for 2 to 3 hours. Then drain the water completely.
  2. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan.
  3. Add fennel seeds then add soaked fenugreek seeds. Saute for a minute then switch off the gas.
  4. Add coriander powder, fennel seeds powder, 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, salt. Mix well
  5. Wash and pat dry the green chilli. Make a slit in the green chilli so that we can stuff the mixture in it. Keep the remaining mixture.
  6. Stuff the fenugreek seeds mixture in the green chillies.
  7. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida. Let the seeds crackle.
  8. Place the stuffed green chillies in the pan. Add remaining fenugreek mixture. Cover and let it cook for 2 minutes. Then flip the chillies and cook.
  9. Once the chillies are cooked from all the sides, switch off the gas.
  10. Delicious 'Danamethi Hari Mirch Ki Sabji' is ready to be served.
