Ingredients

  • All purpose flour / Maida - 1 Cup
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 2 Finely chopped
  • Onion / Pyaz - 2 Teaspoons finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - 1 Tablespoon finely chopped
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Baking soda - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Water - As required
  • Curd / Dahi - As required

Instructions

  1. Take the all-purpose flour in a bowl. Add cumin seeds, green chilli, onion, coriander leaves, salt, and baking soda. Mix well. Then add water and curd gradually to make a lump-free, medium consistency batter.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame. When the oil is medium hot, drop a spoonful of batter in it.
  3. Fry it from all sides for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame till it is golden brown.
  4. Once done, take it out on a serving plate.
  5. 'Goli Baje | Mangalore Bajji'is ready to be served.
