Tips and suggestions by the Mom Chef:
- The mango should be finely chopped.
- Peeling mango is optional. But it is preferable to peel the mango if you want to make pickle in large quantities and store them for a longer duration.
- After 4-5 to 7 days, when the mango pieces turn soft and the water becomes thickened like a syrup it indicates that the pickle is ready to be consumed.
- If you want you can add little black pepper powder for extra flavors.
- You can add 1/2 tsp of sugar while adding salt and red chilli powder to make sweet pickle.
- If you want you can add garlic clove as per choice to the pickle.
