Ingredients

  • Coriander seeds/ sabut dhaniya - 1/2 bowl
  • Cumin seeds/ jeera - 2 teaspoons
  • Black pepper/ kali mirch - 2 teaspoons
  • Fennel seeds/ saunf - 1 teaspoon
  • Cloves/ long - 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom/ elaichi - 3 to 4
  • Cinnamon/ dalchini - 4 to 5 sticks
  • Bay leaf / tej patta- 3 to 4

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Stir it continuously to avoid burns.
  2. After 30 seconds add bay leaf and stir it continuously for 3 to 4 minutes on a low flame.
  3. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool down.
  4. Take a mixer jar and transfer the mixture to it. Dry grind it to a fine powder.
  5. Transfer it to a bowl.
  6. Homemade Garam Masala is ready.
