Pav Bhaji Masala | Homemade Pav Bhaji Masala

Pav Bhaji Masala | Homemade Pav Bhaji Masala is a flavourful spice mixture uses to prepare a popular street food Pav Bhaji, Pulao and many more dishes. You just need a few whole spices like coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon etc to prepare this masala. It needs only 2 to 3 minutes of roasting time and grinding of the spices. You can easily prepare this masala without spending much time in the kitchen. As we know Pav Bhaji is a favourite dish of not only adults but kids too. This masala will make the pav bhaji more flavourful and aromatic. So, try to make this masala at home and let us know your feedback.

Tips and Suggestions by Mom Chef:-

  • Dry roast the spices on a low to medium flame only for 2 to 3 minutes. Else, they will burn.
  • You can prepare Pav Bhaji, Tawa Pulao | Pav Bhaji Pulao and many more dishes using the same masala.

Ingredients

  • Coriander Seeds - 2 Tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds - 2 Tablespoon
  • Saunf/Fennel Seeds - 2 Tablespoon
  • Black Peppercorns - 1 Tablespoon
  • Kashmiri Dry Red Chillies - 10
  • Bay Leaf - 2
  • Black Cardamom - 2
  • Cinnamon - 2 small Stick
  • Laung/Cloves - 5 to 6
  • Amchur/Dry Mango Powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Haldi/Turmeric powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, kashmiri dry red chillies, bay leaf, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves. Dry roast the ingredients on a medium-low flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir the ingredients continuously while roasting. Then let them cool completely.
  2. Now, take a grinder jar and add roasted ingredients, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, salt. Grind it to make fine powder.
  3. Flavourful 'Pav Bhaji Masala' is ready to use.
  • Ready in : 7 to 8 Minutes
