Ingredients

  • Onion / Pyaz - 1 Big sized sliced
  • Raw Mango / Kaccha Aam - 1 Sliced
  • Green Chilli / Hari Mirchi - 1 Finely chopped
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirch Powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Mustard Oil / Sarso Ka Tel - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds / Rai - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • Fennel Seeds / Saunf - 1 tsp
  • Onion Seeds / Kalonji - 1 tsp
  • tsp = teaspoon
  • tbsp = tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil up to smoke in a tadka pan. Once done, turn off the flame.
  2. Take onion and raw mango in a mixing bowl. Add green chilli, salt, red chilli powder, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
  3. Again heat mustard oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, fennel seeds, and onion seeds. Mix well. Turn off the flame and mix well.
  4. Pour the prepared tadka into the pickle bowl. Mix well.
  5. 'Instant Raw Mango Onion Pickle' is ready to be served with paratha.
