Malai Cheeni Paratha is sweet, soft, crispy Paratha

Malai Cheeni Paratha is a very popular breakfast meal in India. In the process of roasting, the sugar melts with fresh cream. Thus, the paratha becomes yummy in taste. This is a different version of paratha which is mainly liked by kids. It is a healthy and traditional style sweet treat for all. Serve it with a hot cup of tea for a filling evening snack. The sweet paratha needs simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen, so try our recipe, and don’t forget to send your feedback in our comments section.

Ingredients

  • Wheat dough - as required
  • Fresh Cream / Malai - 2 Teaspoon
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
  • Sugar - As Required
  • Coconut Powder - 1 Teaspoon ( optional )
  • Pistachio / Pista - 4 - 5 Finely Chopped

Instructions

  1. Take medium soft wheat dough and make two round shaped small circular pedas from the dough and roll a peda to make a roti and keep it aside. Make another roti.
  2. Take one roti and apply clarified butter, fresh cream, sugar, coconut powder, pistachio evenly on rolled roti. Place the other roti over it. Carefully seal the paratha borders with double fold with fingers.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a pan and grease it with ghee. Place the stuffed paratha on it and cook it on a low flame.
  4. Flip the paratha and cook it on a low flame for 3-4 minutes and keep pressing it. Cook it well from both the sides by applying ghee on it. Take it out on a serving plate once it done and cut it in two pieces.
  5. Malai Cheeni Paratha is ready to serve.
