Masala Pyaz Paratha is lip-smacking and crispy paratha.

Masala Pyaz Paratha is a filling paratha. It is easy to make an Indian recipe and requires a handful of ingredients. You can make it with cheese, onion and some spices. It is a complete meal in itself, pair it up with achar or curd or chutney. This will be the best choice for busy weekdays or when there is no vegetable in your refrigerator. You can easily prepare this paratha with a simple technique. Whenever you don’t want to make sabzi and roti, you can prepare this paratha. So try to make this recipe in your kitchen and share your feedback with us.

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat dough - As required
  • Onion / Pyaaz - 1 Sliced
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Red chilli powder / Lal mirch powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • Grated cheese - As required (optional)
  • Water - As required
  • Clarified butter / Ghee - As required

Instructions

  1. Take onion, salt, red chilli powder, and coriander leaves in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Take the medium-soft wheat dough and make round shaped big circular peda from the dough. Dust it with flour and roll a peda to make a paratha. Likewise, prepare another paratha.
  3. Now apply ghee on one paratha. Add onion mixture and cheese to it. Spread it on the paratha. Apply water on the border of paratha.
  4. Now cover it with another paratha. Then press its border and seal it properly.
  5. Meanwhile, heat a tawa. Place the paratha on it and cook it on one side. Flip it, once it is slightly brown.
  6. Apply ghee on both sides and cook on a low flame. Press the paratha while cooking to make it crispy.
  7. Once done, transfer it to a serving plate and cut it from the middle.
  8. 'Masala Pyaz Paratha' is ready to be served.
