Masaledar Paneer is a flavorful and absolutely delicious side dish.

Masaledar Paneer is one of the easiest sabji. You can prepare it with onion, tomato, paneer, pav bhaji masala, ketchup, and some spices. In addition, pav bhaji masala and ketchup are the secret ingredients of this dish, which give a twist to your regular paneer sabji. Ingredients

  • Clarified butter / Ghee - 2 Tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1 Teaspoon
  • Green chilli / Hari mirch - 2 to 3 Finely chopped
  • Ginger / Adrakh - 2 Inch Grated
  • Asafoetida / Hing - A pinch
  • Onion / Pyaz - 2 Finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 1 Finely chopped
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 2 Finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder / Haldi powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Red chili powder / Lal mirch powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Cottage cheese cubes / Paneer - 1 Cup
  • Pav bhaji masala - 1 Teaspoon
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves / Hara dhaniya - A handful
  • FOR PREPARING TOMATO PUREE :
  • Tomato / Tamatar - 2 Chopped

Instructions

  1. FOR PREPARING TOMATO PUREE :
  2. Take tomato in a grinding jar. Grind it and prepare its puree. Keep it aside.
  3. FOR PREPARING MASALEDAR PANEER :
  4. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, green chilli, ginger. Mix well. Add asafoetida and onion. Mix and saute it for 30 seconds.
  5. Add capsicum. Mix well. Saute them for 1 to 2 minutes on high flame. Add tomato and saute it for 1 minute.
  6. Then add prepared tomato puree. Mix well. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes on high flame.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well. Now add paneer and mix it with light hands. Cook it for 1 minute.
  8. Now add pav bhaji masala, tomato ketchup, and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Once cooked, take it out to a serving bowl. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  10. 'Masaledar Paneer' is ready to be served.
